Editorial Pitches/Consideration

As of January 2025, I’m currently closed to editorial pitches — that is, emails and press releases that don’t relate to creative writing work. I’ll probably close up shop until April 2025.

Please keep in mind: I’m not currently on staff at a magazine, so in general I have to be really interested in a story to pitch it to editors I work with, and I have zero decision-making regarding whether or not my pitches are picked up. I only respond if I’m potentially pitching a story.

And please, with no exceptions, I’m not your guy for: “National [BLANK] Day”-related pitches, data-related pitches (“Boston ranks XX in our study of XX”), stories about packaged products (even “find this alcohol brand at this Boston restaurant” stories), holiday-based roundups (please, especially holidays like “celebrate national pasta month…”), gift boxes/subscription services, and phone apps. My inbox thanks you a ton.
